Gary Gauba

Chairman & CEO

Gary has 17+ years of experience as a senior management executive and advisor. He has played key roles in building sustainable brands and providing direction to organizations around strategic planning, operations, process management, business intelligence, analytics, business development and profitable growth. Prior to founding Cognilytics, Gary founded and successfully built two organizations, Systech Integrators (acquired by ACS) and Softline (acquired by KPMG).Softline was ranked as the second fastest growing company by Entrepreneur Magazine in 1997. Prior to Systech, Gary was a Senior Partner at KPMG and also served in the role of Executive Vice President/COO responsible for the joint venture between KPMG and Qwest - a managed solution provider of ERP, CRM, BI and SCM solutions. He also serves on the board of TiE& selected start ups.

Manav Misra

Chief Knowledge Officer& Chief Scientist

Manav brings a depth of experience in predictive analytics, business intelligence, neural networks, and building large scale systems. Previously, he was a Co-Founder and VP of Strategy for StorePerform Technologies (acq by RedPrairie Corp.). StorePerform served six of the top fifteen US retailers among its customers. Prior to co-founding StorePerform, Manav led the business intelligence team at KBtoys.com and was responsible for building a large data warehouse, decision support system, analytics platform, and operating dashboards. Earlier, he was a professor of computer science at the Colorado School of Mines where he performed research in analytics, and mining large data sets using neural networks. His research was funded by various government and private sources and included the creation of predictive and pattern recognition models for a variety of applications. He has a BS from the Indian Institute of Technology - Kanpur and a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California.

Mike Forman

Chief Financial Officer

Mike brings over 25 years of financial and administrative experience in high technology companies to Cognilytics. He has deep experience as a CFO for both public and private companies. Most recently, he was CFO at GigOptix, and Vice President Finance/CFO at Tessera Technologies (Nasdaq: TSRA), which he helped take public in 2003. Mike has a B.S. degree in Accounting from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.B.A. in Finance from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Avi Gupta

Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Avi has over two decades of solution based selling experience in the enterprise market across multiple industries. His professional career began with Andersen Consulting, and then moving on to PwC, E&Y and finally KPMG where he was a Managing Director in the Management Consulting practice focused on the Financial Services and High Tech industries. For the last 10 years prior to joining Cognilytics, Avi was a member of the executive management team at Systech Integrators, a SAP consulting company, where he was responsible for running sales within North America, focused on managing the overall SAP relationships and driving joint solution based sales with SAP America. He has a BS from the Indian Institute of Technology - Delhi and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

Larry Lerner

Senior Managing Director, Enterprise Solutions

Larry is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience and brings to Cognilytics a wealth of senior leadership experience in financial services. Most recently, Larry was a Managing Vice President at Capital One's US Card division, where he had responsibilities for product development and credit policy for super prime (high spender) accounts, analytics teams and model governance, and underwriting strategy. Prior to that, he was a Partner at Diamond Management and Technology consultants, where he helped global financial services organizations develop and implement growth strategies, improve operations and capitalize on technology. Before joining Diamond, Larry was the Vice President of Investment Strategy and Development for the Citadel Investment Group, one of the world's largest and most successful hedge funds.

Ken Knudsen

Managing Director, Mortgage Solutions

Ken is a seasoned senior mortgage professional with over 20 years of experience in the industry. Prior to joining Cognilytics, Ken oversaw several key functions at Chase, PNC, and National City. His management responsibilities included product development; GSE, HUD, and private investor relations; mortgage insurance and captive reinsurance; product and pricing engine development and deployment; conventional, jumbo and FHA/VA underwriting; and affordable lending/emerging markets product development and relationship management.

Reddy Pakanati

Senior Managing Director, Head of Risk Solutions

Reddy has over 20 years of experience in strategy and product development, decision analytics, life cycle credit and enterprise wide risk management in financial services for secured and unsecured lending products. He was formerly the Chief Risk Officer for the Americas Region at Toyota and Lexus Financial Services overseeing an $80B+ retail and dealer finance portfolio in the US and across the Americas region. Reddy also served as Corporate Manager, Banking Products for Toyota Financial Savings Bank, a full service ILC charter bank based in Nevada. He was also a Risk Management Director at American Express where he led the development of decision support systems for US and international charge and credit card portfolios.

Steve Paulding

Senior Director, Analytics and Risk Management

Steve Paulding brings over 17 years of US and International experience in Risk Management and Modeling to Cognilytics. In his most recent role Steve was the Chief Risk Officer for American Express Japan. Steve is an economist by training and has led Risk Management, Statistical Modeling and Credit Policy teams at American Express and AT&T Universal Card Services.

Lucas Budman

Vice President of Technology

Lucas Budman has over a decade of experience engineering complex distributed systems. He brings a wealth of experience in commercial application development, distributed systems, and computational science. Prior to joining Cognilytics, he served as Director of Research for RedPrairie and StorePerform Technologies. Previously, he was Senior Architect for Xcel Energy Markets responsible for commodities trading systems. He was instrumental in the development of KBToys.com, at one time, the fourth largest ecommerce site. He holds a master's degree in finance and an undergraduate degree in computer science, both from the University of Colorado.

Tim DeHart

Managing Director and Head of Enterprise Architecture

Tim has more than 20 years of information management experience in conceptualizing, designing and implementing data architectures that enabled strategic objectives. Tim has been assisting global financial services organizations over the years in a variety of engagements that include Business Strategies, Master Data Management Strategies, Information Management Data Assessments, Data Architecture Blueprints/Roadmaps, and Solution Delivery engagements for companies like American Express, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Bear Stearns. Prior to joining Cognilytics, Tim was a Principal at Diamond Management and Technology Consultants, where he served as one of the firms elite "Knowledge Leaders" that focused on information-centric technologies and best practices of data management. Tim also has particular expertise helping to identify skill gaps, reorganization and implementation of data governance and data quality process and procedures within data architecture groups for large organizations.

Roshan Mehta

Managing Director, Information Management

Roshan Mehta is our Managing Director, Information Management. Roshan is responsible for the SAP delivery practice globally. He has over 15 years of experience implementing Enterprise Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence solutions for Health/Managed Care (Payer & Provider), Life Sciences/Pharmaceuticals, Financial services, Telecommunications and Retail industries. He has held management positions in E&Y/Cap Gemini, Blue Shield of California and Kaiser Permanente focusing on Enterprise Information Strategy, Enterprise Information & Solution architecture, PMO, Data Integration and Information Delivery functions.

Navid Lotfi

Managing Director, Enterprise Solutions

Navid brings over 15 years of experience as a management consultant in the financial services industry, with a key focus on Capital Markets, the Secondary Mortgage and Commercial Lending Industries. Throughout his career, Navid has worked on a broad spectrum of engagements including managing large scale program offices, providing accounting, valuation, and reporting advisory services, and implementing operational improvements through process re-engineering for middle and back office banking operations. He has extensive experience working with complex data sets used for valuation modeling and management reporting. He has served several clients such as Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, PNC, Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, and JPMorgan Chase. Prior to joining Cognilytics, Navid managed his own consulting practice. Prior to that, he worked 8 years at BearingPoint, Inc (formerly known as KPMG Consulting) in New York.

Satish Khosla

Head of Global Delivery Center

Satish joined Cognilytics this year as a Chief Mentor at the Global Delivery Center (GDC) in India. He has over 4 decades of experience in the IT industry across multiple functional areas. Prior to joining Cognilytics, he was the Head of Central Asia and EMEA at ACS and prior to that was the Chief Operating Officer at Keane, India. He has also held senior executive positions at RPGSatcom, Birla Horizons, Unisys India Ltd, Tata Unisys Ltd. Satish is a very experienced, tech savvy business executive with a deep understanding of state-of-the-art technologies. He has rich experience in transforming businesses into profitable ventures.
